It rains down from Heaven to nourish the Earth, life springs forth, reaching back for Heaven again. Sparks of life emerge from the depths of the Earth, illuminating the space between one and the other; there is no darkness where this sacred light shines. A harmonious rhythm; there is perfection within the design, but conformity is refracted. All is beautiful. All is perfect. All is unique unto themselves.

The impossible bouquet was conceptualized during the Baroque Era. Artists collected drawn images of flowers blooming in their season, bringing those images together to create a bouquet that would have been impossible to compose, as these flowers do not bloom at the same time in the same regions. Today, we have the ease and accessibility of trade and transportation, bringing farm to table within a matter of hours, not weeks or months. For Juliet, I used photos of flowers I have taken over many seasons to construct my own impossible bouquet, an ode to the Baroque Era flower painters.
